We believe in sustainable business

Excessive consumption and use of too many natural resources, too quickly and inefficiently, has created a triple planetary crisis — climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. Therefore, an urgent TRANSFORMATION of the current situation (both production and consumption) is necessary in order to contribute to the goals of the Paris Agreement, the implementation of the UN 2030 Program and achieve sustainable development.

Research shows that no country in the world meets the basic needs of its citizens at globally sustainable levels of resource use. Therefore, policy makers are key to enabling and accelerating the transition from a linear to a circular system.

And financial institutions are a lever in the entire transformation process, because the financing of sustainable projects can accelerate the transformation of the entire system. These were some of Anita’s messages at the lecture at the workshop ‘We believe in sustainable business’ organized by Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d. (Erste Bank Croatia) on February 25, 2024 in the premises of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.

Anita subsequently moderated a panel on sustainable practices in which the following participated:

✅ Tea Pestotnik Prebeg, director of the quality and sustainability sector at Valamar Riviera
