Climatig
Considering the need to report on double materiality, it is necessary to assess the impact of climate risks on the company’s operations. This process includes an extensive procedure for assessing the impact of climate risks on the company’s operations according to scientific climate scenarios. For these assessments, we use the services of the CLIMATIG platform, as a reliable tool for assessing climate risks in a specific geographic location.
Calculations are made using algorithms that use various latest generation climate models, high-resolution satellite data, machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), as well as historical climate and weather information from that location. In order to make the most accurate calculations, CLIMATIG uses predictions from several climate models and analyzes their average.
The climate risk assessment was made by calculating the CLIMATIG Score (SC) individually for each climate hazard included. The CLIMATIG Score is a composite risk index for a specific hazard, with values between 0 and 100. The CLIMATIG score takes into account the hazard as well as the vulnerability and exposure of the asset to that threat.
O2 projekt
In order to contribute to the fight against climate change, companies decide to actively plant trees in their locations. This is a long-term approach to contributing to the reduction of climate change, since the first results are visible after 10 years. Deforestation is one of the causes of the increase in CO2 emissions caused by anthropogenic activity. To compensate for the damage caused by such actions in the past, companies invest their financial and human resources in planting trees.
The O2 project deals with forest reforestation using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). By using drones that drop specially prepared seed-bomb packets from the air, Projekt O2 not only ensures the growth of trees, but also encourages the development of a healthy forest ecosystem. The unique advantage of this approach lies in the possibility of quick and efficient planting in hard-to-reach, burned, cut or degraded areas, many times surpassing classical planting methods in terms of speed and success.
